APIIT Tamil New Year Puthandu Celebrations 2008
The Tamil New Year and Vaisakhi was celebrated in APIIT last month. In recent years, the college never failed in giving the international experience to all the students and staffs with cultural and festival celebrations from different parts of the world. The local and international students and staffs will work together to make the celebrations happen.
Puthandu, or better known as Tamil New Year, is the celebration of the first day of the new Tamil year by people of Tamil origin. It follows the Tamil Calendar, which is used in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry in India, and by the Tamil population in Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka.
The celebration generally fall on April 12, April 13 or April 14. People greet each other on this day by saying இனிய தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு நல்- வாழ்த்துக்கள் (Iniya Tamizh Puthaandu Nalvazthukkal).
Vaisakhi (Punjabi: ਵਸਾਖੀ, vaisākhī, also known as Baisakhi) is an ancient harvest festival in Punjab, which also marks beginning of a new solar year, and new harvest season.

Happy 16th Birthday Devilish Baby Jamie!
(She's so killing me for this picture, but you're laughing right?Haha)
A very Happy Birthday to Jamie!
You can no longer go around and tell other people you're 15!
I've known this cheerful girl for not long. I first met her at the special screening of Ah Long Pte Ltd. Very Energetic and vibrant, she never stop talking! Everybody is happy when she's around!
Sorry that I couldn't make it for your party as I have transportation problem.
Happy Birthday Jamie Liew!

Short Update: What I've been doing recently
Sorry for the lack of updates recently, I've been busy with my exams and after that I went back to my hometown Penang. The first thing to do is to have Penang Char Koay Teow! Just like Tony Stark in Iron Man wanted to have an American Cheeseburger right before anything else when he arrived back in his home country.
I haven't been back since Chinese New Year! 3 months!
Parents took me to have great meal at Salsas.
I got some photos printed and had this picture framed as a gift to Yin Tung for his birthday.
Had dinner at a German restaurant called Ingolf the night before I came back to KL.
More post are coming up! Stay tune!
